I am performing at the Cuirt International Poetry Festival, Galway at the end of April and headlining at The Contact Theatre, Manchester in July.

Other than that; Touch Films in Bath have just displayed an interest in my screenplays and my latest screenplay, The Dolphin Fiasco, was shortlisted for the Nick Darke Award.

I am currently building a tour for my new one woman show: Tales of Horror & Love - an hour of refreshingly honest material that manages to be contemporary, political, challenging, humorous and comment on love & rites of passage all in the same line up. Funded by Arts Council England.

Other than the show I continue to deliver sets of varied time slots & theme and also offer writing workshops for schools, colleges and community groups; recently working on St Just Between the Lines project and soon to work with excluded teenagers.

Two editors are publishing my work in the very near future; John G Hall is publishing four poems in the upcoming issue of Citizen 32 magazine and George Wallace is profiling me with four poems in Polarity online zine www.poembeat.com

I am also very honoured to report that I have been selected to be writer in residence at Can Serrat International Art Centre in Barcelona www.canserrat.org  I will take my residency in August 07.  The project I will work on in my time at Can Serrat is a poetry led installation piece on the theme of the Tarantismo; a ritualistic dance from south Italy.  I intend to create a spider web of sound (verse/noise/music) which the viewer will self activate through their moving body.  There will be written text and images around the installation space.  My research for the Tarantismo project has led to contact with Italian film director Edoardo Winspeare (Pizzicata, Sangue Vivo, Il Miracolo) who has pledged to help with the project and I shall be going to the Salento region to meet with him

La Lupe, a 3 minute poetry film from my show Tales of Horror & Love, appeared at Literaturwerkstatt Berlin Festival - Zebra Poetry Film Award Oct 06.  www.zebra-award.org.  La Lupe is a tale of a dangerous love affair and an allegory to the story of a people being stolen from their land; dispossessed.  It is about the enslavement of the Africans and their transportation and demonisation to present day and the bad press about the Irish and their fate of famine, rule and murder at the hands of the British.

One of my poetry films disembodied was screened at the Cornwall Film Festival 06  and  is a powerful 7 minute concept piece and a mosaic of poetry and mixed media examining the sense of detachment afforded by the new age. The tales of three people are told through poems on an ansamachine with film, moving image, music and performance elaborating the story.  Created in collaboration with Alban Roinard – film, Brian Johnson – animation and Disfunc - music.  (Adarghal track – Abdelli)  disembodied was created as I became interested in exploring the paradox in a modern society in which we have more ways to communicate and yet less intimacy; thus the idea of a series of ansamachine messages left by characters that were dead.  I was fortunate to meet and collaborate with two film makers; Alban Roinard (who has gone on to create films for my new performance poetry show Tales of Horror & Love) and Brian Johnson.

Three of my poetry films appeared at Trelowarren Gallery near the Lizard Sept to Nov 06 as part of a mixed arts exhibition; Spontaneous Combustion.
